“Life is too short to wear boring jewelry!” – Nancy Cerdas
The smell of grease and oil on a rainy day is perfume to Nancy Cerdas, owner designer of nanCdesigns.
She grew up with pliers and hammers in her hands at her Dad’s auto parts store. Steel shelving, oilcans and tail pipes were her world.
Nancy uses a mixed media approach to incorporate silver, glass, fibers and gems into sculptural wearable art. As a result, the pieces are striking statements with unexpected combinations of materials and textures.
Her collection has a decidedly modern quality and the freeform shapes and color combinations make each piece innovative. Her color palette ranges from soothing silver, gold and pearly whites to radiant corals, azure blue and lime green. This jewelry is perfect for those who wish to express their vivacious personalities without uttering a word. While her designs are bold, they are always refined and have an effortless elegance about them. Based in Ridgefield Park, Ms Cerdas exhibits and sells her jewelry at many area fine arts and craft fairs.
